I am Will Mcloughlin, known by students as Mr Mac. I run Addvance Maths to support students around the world with their Primary, KS3, GCSE/IGCSE, A-level and IB Maths. Seeing people from around the world use Addvance Maths every day has brought me a lot of joy knowing that students worldwide are working hard on their revision and benefiting from Addvance.
Addvance is a non-profit website. We do not make any money from YouTube Ads, website Ads or any other form of income. This is important, as you can trust that Addvance is focused solely on providing high-quality revision material, without distracting Ads or financial incentive.

About Me
I am originally from Manchester, UK, however I have been living in Abu Dhabi, UAE for 5 years. 🇦🇪
I work for an incredible international school in the UAE, and it is the best job in the world.
I am a fully qualified teacher with PGCE, BSc Mathematics and Masters in Education.
When I’m not teaching or working on Addvance Maths, I am studying towards a Doctorate in Education (EdD). You can read about my research below.

- Conceptual Understanding
My ongoing research is aimed towards uncovering what effective digital instructional design resembles, in order to promote conceptual understanding of abstract mathematical concepts. Basically, I want to know what effective digital learning resources look like.
