ClassWiz Calculator – Guide

The Casio ClassWizz is a brilliant scientific calculator, which is very capable of speeding up GCSE maths when used correctly.

You can buy the Casio ClassWiz here.

It is well worth spending time familiarising yourself with the common inbuilt tools:

  1. The SD button: converts between fractions, decimals or surds.
  2. Mixed numbers and improper fractions input.
  3. Function tables: evaluate functions for several inputs quickly buy creating a table of values.
  4. Solving quadratics.
  5. Solving linear simultaneous equations.
  6. Writing numbers as a product of prime factors using the FACT button.
  7. Using the calculator for SOHCAHTOA and other trigonometry problems.
